Wallpaper Calculation Guide
Step 1: Measure Your Wall
- Measure the width of the wall you want to cover.
-
Measure the height from floor (or baseboard, if applicable) to ceiling.
Step 2: Find Out How Many Rolls Across
Since each roll is 2 feet wide, divide your wall width by 2 to see how many rolls you’ll need across.
- Example: A 10 ft wide wall ÷ 2 = 5 rolls across.
Step 3: Match Your Ceiling Height to Roll Length
Your ceiling height determines which roll length will work:
| Ceiling Height | 9 ft Roll | 12 ft Roll |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 8 ft | Works | Works |
| 9 ft | Not tall enough | Works |
| 10 ft | Not tall enough | Works |
Step 4: Calculate Rolls Needed
- From Step 2, you already know how many rolls you’ll need across your wall. From step 3, you know which length is needed - 9 or 12 foot.
- Now just add 10% extra for trimming and pattern matching.
Example:
- Wall width = 10 ft → 5 rolls across
- Ceiling height = 8 ft → 9 ft rolls work
- 5 rolls + 10% extra = 6 rolls recommended
